The Janesville Woman’s Club recently donated 258 items with a value of $346.69 to Roosevelt Elementary School. Items were donated by club members and included basic school supplies such as paper, notebooks, folders, markers, crayons, and pencils. Community Service Chair, Shelley Bayer explained “These donated items are kept in the school office and distributed to children in need as the school year progresses.
The Janesville Woman’s Club is a philanthropic and social organization whose mission is to give back to the community. Club membership is open to anyone over the age of 21 who wants to get involved, volunteer, make new friends and have a positive impact on the Janesville community.
