JWCA is pleased to announce we are giving out two $550.00 scholarships this year. We received over forty applications from local youth who wrote an essay on what community service meant to them and then gave an example of how they have helped others in the community without expecting anything in return. One student from Craig and one from Parker will receive the scholarships. Our dedicated volunteers read the essays and selected two outstanding recipients who will be awarded their scholarships at their upcoming annual awards nights.
Thank you to all who helped with this wonderful program of promoting community service and please remember to mark your calendars now for Wednesday December 3, 2014 for our next Holiday Auction. It is through the volunteer work of our membership and proceeds raised at the annual Holiday Auction event that we are able to help our hardworking youth with their continuing education.
