AAUW is pleased to announce the 2014 Scholarship winners:
- Craig High School – Morgan Kemp and Michael Beecher
- Parker High School – Hannah Muehlenkemp and Robert Wyss
- Milton High School – Danielle Wallace.
The Project Renew Scholarship winners for those returning to school are Denise Neal and Tonya DeRemer.
The winners, their family, and their friends were invited to the Annual Springtime Potluck Dinner on May 27th at the Woman’s Club. After dinner and the scholarship awards, Emily and Larry Scheunemann treated everyone to a program called “All About Hummingbirds”. The presentation featured Larry’s photos from the Scheunemann’s large and lovely garden that provides a delightful habitat for these fascinating creatures. We learned amazing facts about the feisty, dynamic ruby-throated hummingbirds plus gardening tips to entice these beautiful creatures to our yards. The evening concluded with the installation of the 2014/2015 officers.
